Overview

Our partner is part of Holding, a non-bank financial group ranking third by assets in Ukraine (credit portfolio ~UAH 2B). The group operates across microlending, pawnshop retail (Lombard Laga), online loans, and debt collection, with active international projects in Poland, Moldova, Romania, and the United States.

The group is now entering the Spanish market with a buy-back resale concept: purchasing used electronics, tools, and household goods from clients and reselling them in-store, with an optional installment option. The team has completed on-the-ground market research and validated the model. The starting point is the Valencia region, with national expansion to follow.

Main Responsibilities

– Launch the commercial network in the Valencia region independently from day one
– Identify and negotiate locations for the first retail points in a secondhand / commission-store format
– Build the sales team from scratch: hire, onboard, and set performance standards
– Define the product assortment — categories, pricing, and buyback rates
– Design and implement sales processes, client-facing scripts, and operational workflows
– Establish online presence: know which platforms and keywords drive results in the local market (Wallapop, Milanuncios, and equivalents)
– Report to the holding curator in English; align strategy and KPIs at group level
– After establishing the region, contribute to the national expansion roadmap

Mandatory Requirements

– 5+ years in commercial or sales roles in secondhand retail, pawnshop, buy-back, commission store, or a comparable consumer format — required
– Hands-on experience opening retail points: locations, permits, team setup — required
– English proficiency sufficient for regular reporting and strategy calls with international leadership — required
– Deep understanding of the Spanish consumer and regulatory environment, including Valencia’s regional specifics — required
– Proven track record of building a sales team from scratch — required
– Knowledge of local resale platforms and ability to manage offline and online channels simultaneously — plus
– Experience within a multi-brand retail group or holding structure — plus
– Ambition and readiness to grow into a CEO role as the network scales — plus
