VFX Artist
Main Responsibilities
– Design and develop high-quality real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine’s Niagara and Cascade systems
– Collaborate closely with the art director, designers, and UE developer to bring the visual vision of a project to life
– Optimize VFX assets for performance while maintaining visual quality across various platforms
– Create shaders and materials using Unreal Engine’s Material Editor to support complex VFX systems
– Integrate VFX into game environments, ensuring seamless interaction with characters and gameplay elements
– Iterate based on feedback from team members, balancing artistic vision and technical limitations
– Maintain documentation for workflows, tools, and best practices
Mandatory Requirements
– Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine, especially the Niagara VFX system
– Solid understanding of particle systems, physics-based simulations, lighting, and post-processing effects
– Experience with shader development and material creation in Unreal Engine
– Familiarity with game development pipelines and performance optimization
– Knowledge of 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or Houdini is a plus
– Artistic eye for motion, color, composition, and timing
– Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
– Good written and spoken English
