Reconciliation Analyst

Main Responsibilities

– Perform daily reconciliation of transactions across cash, securities, FX, and derivatives using SmartStream TLM
– Investigate and resolve breaks, liaising with banks, brokers, and internal teams
– Work with data formats and messaging standards (e.g., SWIFT MT, ISO 20022) and configure matching rules
– Prepare reports for audit and regulatory purposes
– Participate in automation and process optimization projects

Mandatory Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related field
– 3+ years of experience in reconciliation operations in financial services
– Hands-on experience with SmartStream TLM Reconciliations (Premium, Aurora, or Control)
– Strong understanding of financial instruments (cash, equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives)
– Familiarity with data formats and messaging standards (e.g., SWIFT MT, ISO 20022)
– Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, SQL, or scripting tools (e.g., Python, VBA) are a plus
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
– Experience in a regulated environment and knowledge of compliance requirements

Nice to have:
– Experience with other reconciliation platforms: FIS IntelliMatch, Broadridge, ReconArt
– Previous exposure to post-trade operations, settlements, or fund accounting
– Background in transformation or automation projects (e.g., STP initiatives)
– Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow
