Compliance Operational Manager
Overview
Our partner is a leading Electronic Money Institution (EMI), licensed by the FCA in the UK, FINTRAC in Canada, and MFSA in Malta. Operating in 140 countries across more than 25 industries, it provides multi-currency IBAN accounts, merchant solutions, and mass payouts. All services are available through a single platform under one contract, making it a convenient solution for both local and international payments.
The team is looking for an experienced compliance professional with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, expertise in the EMI and high-risk sectors, and a proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs. In this role, the specialist will play a key part in ensuring operational security and regulatory compliance, directly contributing to the company’s success and reputation.
Main Responsibilities
– Support and coordinate with Onboarding, TM & Anti-Fraud, and Regulatory Compliance teams to ensure clearly defined goals, roles, responsibilities, and
workload distribution across operational areas
– Conduct quality assurance reviews of KYC, KYB, and TM case handling to assess execution quality and ensure alignment with department and company-wide
objectives
– Analyze operational data and trends to identify process inefficiencies and risks. Develop actionable insights and provide data-driven recommendations to the senior management
– Lead initiatives to improve and automate compliance workflows and controls, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in operational delivery.
– Maintain effective communication and information exchange with partner banks, auditors, and other stakeholders. Manage the preparation and timely submission of required documents, policies, and applications
– Assist in the onboarding of partner banks and payment methods, including preparation of samples, presentations, and system demos
– Monitor and coordinate responses to requests from partner banks and regulatory authorities, ensuring timely and accurate handling, particularly in relation to transactions and KYB-related matters
– Support the development and maintenance of KYC/KYB/TM policies and procedures. Ensure updates reflect regulatory requirements, internal changes, industry best practices, and operational data insights
– Compile and deliver regular reports on departmental activities and performance to the senior management, ensuring transparency and supporting strategic decision-making
– Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with internal policies and regulatory standards
Mandatory Requirements
– Minimum 3 years of experience in EMI compliance
– Deep knowledge of UK and EU compliance legislation and best practices
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– English level: C1 (Advanced)
