Our partner is a dynamic product company specializing in the creation of innovative live entertainment shows (similar to Crazy Time), distinguishing itself from traditional casino game development. With 4.5 years in the global iGaming market, the company has grown to 150+ employees and is currently in a phase of rapid and dynamic expansion.
Operating as a B2B provider for online platforms worldwide, the company’s main office is located in Bratislava, Slovakia, with additional operational hubs in Kyiv

The organization is currently seeking an Art Director to lead and manage a multidisciplinary design team responsible for the visual direction of its live game show studio. This role encompasses oversight of the entire visual production pipeline-from conceptualization to delivery-ensuring creative excellence, technical feasibility, and timely execution.

Main Responsibilities

– Oversee the execution of all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development or production
– Work with the product team to generate ideas for proposals, game improvements, and new game concepts
– Collaborate closely with developers, designers, the studio build team, and key stakeholders
– Maintain project schedules, ensuring clear communication of milestones and delivery dates
– Implement design team processes, handbook and share best industry practices
– Manage design team’s resource planning and budgeting
– Facilitate design reviews, team meetings, and brainstorming sessions
– Oversee and manage the execution of game asset development and game environment design, including architectural and interior design for digital environment and physical studios
– Supervise the preparation of source files for development and implementation of graphics
– Ensure all work is completed on or before deadlines
– Oversee execution of high-poly and low-poly modeling, texture painting, UVW mapping, shading, and advanced animations
– Ensure that 3D studio models can be feasibly executed in real life through close collaboration with the studio build and fabrication teams

 

Mandatory Requirements

Education
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Direction, Design, Visual Communication, Architecture, or related field
Experience
– Minimum 5 years of experience in art leading, production design, or similar creative leadership roles in gaming, broadcast, or live entertainment
– Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams (3D artists, animators, motion designers, environment designers, studio designers)
– Strong background in 3D environment design, set visualization, and real-time rendering for broadcast or live events
Technical Skills
– Expert knowledge of 3D software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or Cinema 4D
– Proficiency in Substance Painter/Designer, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and Unreal Engine or Unity for real-time visualization
– Understanding of lighting, composition, materials, and color theory in 3D design
– Knowledge of file optimization, pipeline integration, and rendering workflows
Soft Skills
– Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide creative teams and align stakeholders
– Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines
– Ability to translate creative vision into practical execution with awareness of production and construction limitations
– Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Bonus/Preferred Skills
– Experience in AR/VR/XR production or virtual studio design
– Familiarity with broadcast graphics pipelines and stage lighting principles
– Understanding of fabrication processes and material specifications for physical set builds
– Experience working in fast-paced, iterative production environments
